Max’s Barn Wood, Inc., is your way to access Amish craftsmanship in the form of raw reclaimed barn wood. We move material directly from the barn foundation to your job site, mill, or retail store. We aggregate and store several hundred thousand board feet of beams, siding, and dimensional lumber. Most of the material is surface de-nailed but not metal detected. If it comes out of a barn, we have it, emphasis on Barn. The world of reclaimed wood is huge. We focus on one kind: Barn Wood.

Our customers include the largest retailers in the USA, the most prestigious builders, and amazing private individuals. You’ll see our material in high rises, restaurants, homes, hotels, retail establishments, museums, wineries, ski chalets, and even working barns.

We only have a few products: milled flooring, milled paneling, milled siding, and farmed fancy grey. Everything else is raw.

I grew up in wood. Without even realizing it, it turns out that I’m a 4th generation wood guy. My dad had furniture stores and furniture factories. His dad was the same. My great-grandfather came from Eastern Europe. He settled in Oshkosh during the great boom of wood and crafts. His language, a type of German, was taught to me by my grandfather’s sister, and it’s a language similar to what the Amish speak in their homes. I would not be surprised if we eventually verify that Vincent Wesley Harnitz was a Russian Mennonite!
