Built in the early 1800s on some of the best dirt in Wisconsin. Good dirt means good crops means healthy cows means successful farmers means quality craftsmanship with quality materials means it’s standing strong.

We will keep it standing until it finds a buyer.

Frame kits are the posts, beams, braces, nailers, and rafters, measured/tagged/sketched, ready for assembly on your pad or foundation.

To make this a modern and comfortable home, lodge, winery, brewery, wedding venue, etc., install a 2×8 exterior curtain, a 2×12 roof, fill the space with insulation, add exterior sheeting, and then the siding and roof of your choice. From the inside, it’s authentic. From the outside, it’s amazing.

Some terms defined:
Each section of the barn is a “bay.”
The framework of posts and tie beams makes a “bent.”
Two bents make a bay.
The beams that run the full width are “tie beams.”
Running horizontally along the exterior walls between the exterior posts are the “nailers.”
The rafters are supported midway up the roof with the “purlin,” also known locally as a “rafter beam.”
